Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address (when joining the waitlist or creating an account)
• Name (optional, used by Rock N Roll to personalize your experience)
• Conversation messages with your AI companion
• Photos you choose to share with Rock N Roll

Information collected automatically:

• Device type and operating system
• App usage analytics (anonymized)
• Crash reports (to improve app stability)

How Your Data Is Stored

Conversations: Your chat history with Rock N Roll is stored locally on your device. Conversation messages are sent to our secure servers only to generate Rock N Roll’s responses in real time. Message content may be temporarily retained in server logs for debugging purposes and is automatically purged after 30 days. We do not maintain a permanent copy of your conversation history on our servers.

Emotional awareness: The app tracks emotional patterns to help Rock N Roll respond more empathetically over time. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

Photos: Photos you share with Rock N Roll are processed to generate responses and stored locally on your device. Photos are sent to our servers only for real-time processing and are not stored. Text descriptions generated from photos may appear in temporary server logs subject to the same 30-day purge.

How We Use Your Information

• To power Rock N Roll’s AI responses and personality
• To provide and improve our services
• To send you updates about the app (if you opt in)
• To analyze anonymized usage patterns and improve user experience

AI and Third-Party Services

Rock N Roll’s responses are powered by AI language models provided by Anthropic (Claude). When you send a message, it is transmitted to Anthropic’s API to generate a response. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models. For more information, see Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.

We also use third-party services for:

• Voice synthesis (ElevenLabs) — to give Rock N Roll a voice
• Analytics — to understand app usage (anonymized)
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS) — to securely process AI requests
• Payment processing (Apple) — for in-app purchases

In-App Purchases

Rock N Roll & Friends offers optional in-app purchases including food packs and premium subscriptions. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Push Notifications

With your permission, Rock N Roll may send you gentle check-in notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings. We do not use push notifications for advertising.

Children’s Privacy

Rock N Roll & Friends is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Export your data
• Delete your conversation history at any time (within the app)

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted to our servers, including TLS encryption for all API communications. Your local data is protected by your device’s built-in security features.
